19A High resolution Powder Diffraction (HRPXRD)

A heavy 3-circle powder diffractometer with a robot system

  • Detection systems:

       − Multi-crystal analyzer (angular resolution ~ 0.005°)

       − 1D microstrip detector (angular resolution ~ 0.03°, 2θ range > 120°, frame rate ~ 100 Hz)

       − 2D area detector (angular resolution ~ 0.08°)

  • Non-ambient systems:

       − Hot air gas blower (RT – 1000 °C)

       − Cryostream (RT – 90 K)

       − Dynaflow cryostat (RT – 4 K)

       − High temperature oven (RT – 1200 °C)

       − Gas loading system

  • An automatic sample changer system (robot with barcode scanner)
