TPS 47A High-Resolution Spectroscopy Beamline is a high-brightness hard X-ray spectroscopy beamline constructed as one of the Phase III beamline at the Taiwan Photon Source (TPS) of the National Synchrotron Radiation Research Center (NSRRC). The beamline is specifically designed for advanced high-resolution synchrotron spectroscopy and next-generation materials research. TPS 47A beamline design enables simultaneously high photon flux, high energy resolution, and micron-scale beam focusing capability, meeting the demanding requirements of next-generation high-resolution hard X-ray spectroscopy experiments.
TPS 47A consists of two core endstations: the A1 photo-in/photo-out Spectroscopy station (HERFD-XAS,XES,RIXS), and the A2 Hard X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy station (HAXPES). Both endstations are dedicated to high-resolution spectroscopy and advanced materials applications. High-resolution spectroscopy plays a critical role in modern materials science, semiconductor technology, and quantum-material research. It has become an indispensable tool for next-generation semiconductor, energy, and advanced materials research.
