The beamline optical configurations are shown as the figures below. The Double Crystal Monochromator (DCM) of CXS beamline is with two sets of switchable crystals for high flux mode and high energy resolution mode operating respectively. The focusing optics are integrated within two focusing systems. The 1st focusing system hosts the Vertical Compound Refractive lenses (V-CRL) and the 1st Horizontal Focusing Mirror (HFM1); the Vertical Focusing Mirror/Vertical Deflective Mirror (VFM/VDM) and the 2nd Horizontal Focusing Mirror (HFM2) are installed in the 2nd focusing system. The photon beam is focused at Horizontal Secondary Source (HSS) slit by HFM1. The beam size in horizontal can be varied by the opening of the HSS slit. The vertical beam size is changed by using different setup of the optics. Using VFM, the beam size is 1 μm by 1 μm (Fig.1) and 10 μm by 10 μm beam size is performed with V-CRL and VDM (Fig. 2).
